The Power of ONE: MPS-1

What’s Your MPS-1 Level?

I have been involved in the use of the test and perfection of the test….. I have extensive use of the application of the test in head neck cancer. I have found the test to be helpful in… screening…. surveillance for recurrence…. and for measurement of response…. to both surgical and non-surgical therapies.

One Draw

The MPS-1 test is a unique single draw blood test designed and demonstrating promise to detect the broadest range of cancer types early, well before symptoms appear, and provide for dependable follow-on monitoring.

One Marker

MPS-1 diagnostics exploit single marker efficiencies solely measuring levels of a single normally present growth-related ribosomal protein, Metallopanstimulin-1 (MPS-1/RPS27) in the bloodstream.
Metallopanstimulin is an Active Growth Factor Protein which contributes to growth stimulating activity in various types of living cells by promoting cell Division. MPS-1 is has been demonstrated to be expressed in unique quantities at different stages in life and it is expressed in HIGH concentrations in response to growth subsequent to cellular damage including Cancer.
One For All
In multiple studies, abnormally high MPS-1 levels have demonstrated correlations common to cancer and in sync with tumor growth stages, making MPS-1 a promising candidate as an indicator of all cancer growths.
These studies indicated MPS-1 diagnostics are a gamechanger, with demonstrated potential for general health screening, early detection, stage classification, distinction between benign or malignant tumors (to help avoid the need for unnecessary biopsies), and precise follow-on monitoring, all from a single marker.
The MPS-1 blood test displayed high efficacies, with sensitivities greater than 89%. and specificities greater than 75%, correctly identifying both patients with and without cancers, including cancers for which there was no currently available screenings.
However, the MPS-1 test screening cannot identify the site of origin of the tumor. Consequently, it is designed be used in combination or followed with imaging techniques such as CAT, MRI, PET scans or other recommended cancer specific screenings

One Day Results

National Cancer Screen MPS-1 test assay techniques are designed to return rapid real time MPS-1 results within 24 hrs.

One Central Lab

Ensuring MPS-1 test access convenience, performance consistency and turnaround times, diagnostic services will be provided by the centrally located National Cancer Screen Laboratory. This central lab will also aid in accelerated data collection to provide further improvements on MPS-1 diagnostic capabilities and services.

One Approach

Exploiting MPS-1 diagnostic efficiencies, MPS-1 testing shows promise to enable capabilities for single draw blood-based cancer screening as an integral routine in primary medical care.

Help Us Grow

The National Cancer Screen is working on laboratory buildout to establish post research capabilities. The MPS-1 diagnostic is not currently available to patients. Information on participation in further upcoming clinical trials, as well as investigational use by clinical and research facilities, will be provided as it becomes available.

In the meantime, to help us accelerate meeting our goals for laboratory buildout, we would appreciate your contribution support through our GoFundme campaign located at the link below.
